I am working on an upholstery project that I want to use damask embossed velvet for. I found this option and ordered a yard instead of a sample. (The sample shipped was not much cheaper than a full yard shipped, so I figured if I don't like the material for the upholstery project, I will at least have enough to do something small with.) I was a bit skeptical when I ordered, but very pleasantly surprised when the velvet arrived. I was concerned the emboss print was going to be small and unclear, but the lines are crisp and defined, the pattern repeat is good, not small and obnoxious. The material is heavy enough for upholstery, but not stiff at all and would work for drapery as well, and there is no stretch. Overall, I am going to be ordering enough for the large upholstery project I am doing AND more to have on hand in the shop. Very happy with the material!
